Bomb shell!!! Channeling Nancy Grace here…
Researchers suggest that only 9% of people that make resolutions complete them. In fact, 23% of people quit their resolution by the end of the first week, and 43% quit by the end of January. It's so prevalent that people fall short of their New Year's resolutions so quickly, the second Friday in January is known as “Quitter’s Day". 😲😲💔💔
As someone whose business is helping people achieve their goals and become the greatest version of themselves - this breaks my heart.💔
THIS IS NO WAY TO START YOUR NEW YEAR! I'm shouting because I'm passionate about you getting everything you really want for yourself in this moment and in the coming year.
We lean into the magic of the tradition of counting down to January 1.
The excitement and anticipation for a new day, new year, new habits.
When in reality, it's just another day.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all in for a new day, a new habit, a new you. I'm a coach, I get to partner with people and experience that magic every day - and it's truly a magnificent transmutation and joy when a client creates the change they really want through new thinking patterns, habits, and getting goals.
That's why I'm sharing this now.
The buzz is already starting about setting New Year's resolutions. Within weeks we'll start to see ads for discounts on gym memberships, new apps to help you achieve your goal and track your healthy habits, all the way up to the moment the “ball drops” people will ask “What's your New Year's resolution".
I'm an expert at, and fully support the idea of, creating change that makes you happier, healthier, wealthier, more fulfilled, more energetic, more confident, more at peace, more sexy, more courageous…
More of what YOU want and less of what no longer serves you.
The only thing magical about beginning something new on the first day of the year is YOU made the decision to make it mean that.
The true magic is YOU deciding to create a change in your life.
So, toss out tradition and decide when you want to create change and how you can make it happen for yourself.
Here are five things to consider that will help you stay committed to the change you really want, whether it's your New Year's resolution or not.
